Just finished welding the arches on the disco and I've got two sets of arch liners one set that stops crap going up inside the front wings which I've put back in,
The second set are made of a thicker foam and sit on the inner wing around the turrets.
Now I've waxoyled everything in there so do I put them back? As I think they're there to reduce noise or do I leave them out as its just something else in there to trap mud?

Leave them in, keeps noise down day to day and just re weld in a few years when they rot through again

I take mine out (probably once a year when servicing brakes) , good clean/rust treat/wayoyl behind. clean and refit with new bolts if needed.

Too many things fall/rot off these vehicles nice to keep on or two original parts.lol.

Pulled those out on mine when i did the flexi arches. Wish i pulled them out with a bit more care now and never binned them at those prices......

Put them back in yesterday while I was fitting the diff guards.
The difference they make is quite noticeable, both inside and outside of the car.
A lot quieter when moving too.
