right. Got another of these bits that was broken and seems thats only a small part of the prob. Still got diesel seeping out from no4 injector... last in row towards the passengers side.
Funny thing is i've hardly touched this one so i'm hoping its just that the fuel feed nut isn't secure correctly, something like that!!
Problem is i remember doing all of them nice ad tight in sequence!!
Would plumbers tape secure the thread better if that is the case? .. prob not as its diesel which eats everything.

Did you torque them up ?

I know sweet fa about Freelander injectors but I had major seepage issues with 200tdi.. I am "Mr Over tighten" and bugger it and my torque wouldnt go low enough so I guessed it. After some time with issues I purchased a lower torque and I ended up needing to add an extra full turn to reach the torque.

I've not actually had them out.
I was trying to get them out in order to get top plastics off to gain access to turbo. None of them would budge but most of my levering was on the 2 at the other end. This one had hardly any levering at all.
I am hoping i havn't cracked it in some way but cant think how i can get a better view at it all as would need to remove first bank of plastics which leaves all the inlets open. At least i think thats what they are!!

Thats what i would need engine running with in order to get a goood view at the injector which is the one at far end in that pic.

UPDATE

Took the injector feed off and re tightened, also undid the injector clamp bolts and re did them as tight as i can.

Leak gone :clap2::banana:

now i just need to run her and see that all is ok, but still blowing loads of smoke as the oils in the exhaust.. and i liv ein middle of a village so won't go down to well :(

no worries james.
That's pretty much what i did i think!!
She was ticking over with hardly any smoke for about 5 mins, then i reved her up a bit and she had a bit of a wobbly fit, then started bellowing smoke out back but was idling ok again.
hard to know if the little fit was a problem or just her bedding back in after a while stood still and not started.
Smoke must be down to the oil in exhaust... at least i bloody hope so.
