Does anyone know what bulb should be fitted inside the indicator switch mounted on the steering colomn on a S2a to tell you when your driving around with an indicator on like you're an old woman? Mine's not there and don't know what size bulb it should be. Cheers

Cheers clivees! Just had a look though my parts manual but it makes no reference to it there, I guess they were an optional extra.

There's a bulb IN the switch ????? well roger me ragged and call me Martha
!!!
I think i'll have a look to see if mine should have one then there is no need to wire up a pair of lamps into my new dash panel

Av just got back from town in the pouring rain with no roof on but I was still smiling cause av got me self a new bulb. The good fellow at Auto Electrical supplied me with a Lucas LLB643 12V 2.2W 030 for 70p which does the job and I also got an original Lucas indicator for a fiver.

Martha Argonaut - the switch in question is the one with a rubber wheel that runs on the steering shaft just infront of the steering wheel. I see you have a later s2a and don't want you taking your switch apart if it is a different one (I don't actually know if there were any different ones but I thought I'd mention it).

Clivees- I see you are on 666 posts! Have you ceased to cast a shadow or anything wierd?

yep mines got the rubber wheel Tinribs - but can honestly say have never seen a little plastic lense - as soon as the rain stops i'll pop out and have a gander to see if there is one cos it'll say a load of wiring.
