Imobaliser has come on how do we start it

HELP WE HAVE COME BACK OFF HOLIDAY TO FIND THE BATTERY IS FLAT ON OUR P38 HOLLAND & HOLLAND 2000 PLATE CHARGED BATTERY IT WILL TURN OVER BUT WONT START HELP HOW DO WE GET IT TO START IS THERE ANY ONE NEAR TO US THAT HAS A DIAGNOSTIC THAT COULD HELP PLEASE WE ARE IN KENDAL CUMBRIA

What messages (if any) are there on the message display?

Also please let us know which engine - if H&H spec, I presume it's a 4.6V8?

If it's a V8 it's probably lost sync between the engine and BECM. You could try disconnecting the battery negative for a few minutes and then carefully reconnecting it so there are no sparks.
Presumably the battery volts are good?
Otherwise you are probably going to need a syncmate or diagnostics.

As Data says it has most likely lost sync. Unfortunately on the post '99 models there is no way knowing this without diagnostics. Worth investing in a syncmate from Black Box solutions.

Does it lock and unlock on the FOB? What voltage have you got at the battery??

think it could be key fob batteries will know tomorrow need a refurb kit as back wont come off

am i missing some thing here its turning over but wont start surley if engine imobilised it wont urn over at all??

pre 99 dont post do??

The diesel or post 1999 bosch engines will turn over, but won't fire.

If the fobs are not unlocking the doors as they should, then you need to use the EKA method.

HI every one im back put new batteries in fob its not that have put new battery on have had local garage do diagnostic its imobaliser is on he could take every thing else off except that the message that came up once was ENGINE DISABLED now when you try to start it it says windows not set . So i think only thing for it is on a recovery wagon and off to garstang to landrover garage as we dont use the one at Kendal as they charged us 3 times to take imobaliser off as they didnt realise the battery needed changing 2 years ago it cost us £700 for the recovery wagon 3 times and there charges for taking imobaliser off as well . 1 Holland & Holland up for sale Very Very soon

have tried EKA that doest do it either it turns over but wont fire diagnostic says imobaliser on (local garage looked at it nothing he can do)

oh its a thor engine V8 4.6 petrol year 2000 Holland & Holland

They just need an independant to re-synk, hope someone is near by.

hi Stopover i remember you mentioned Faultmate is this the FAULTMATE MSV- 2 vehicle server "NANO" version with VCI 1 if so are they easy to use and are they very expensive thanks

I mentioned it as one of the diagnostic tools that could re-sync your car. I have no experience of FaultMate, I have T4 Testbook. There have been many Threads on which diagnostic kit to buy. Do a search on this forum you may get the answer that way.
