immobiliser self-arm timing

Right, had the hippo for coming up to 2 weeks now, and one thing has become rather clear...


Whoever calibrated the time delay for the immobiliser, clearly was an impatient git. I can disable it from the passenger side - and by the time I'm in the drivers seat, the little red light's started flashing??!?



So... who knows of a way to:

1) extend the time
2) just disable the immo entirely

Don't think the time can be altered but it can be disabled using T4 but you'll have to advise your insurance company.

Doesn't it disarm automatically when you turn the ignition on with a valid plip on the key ring?

Your's is an old girl like mine, may just be the battery in the fob.
