immobiliser problems

hi bought freelander td4,2004 2.0L diesel :doh:.locked car as normal with fob,came back 15mins later, now engine management light stays on and engine wont start? heard it maybe an immobiliser fault,how do i remedy this.CAN YOU HELP. thanks

hi optimus thanks for responce. yes it does turn over , been reading through these disscusions and i think im goner try the ignition switch?. what do you think?

don't think it's either. if it was the immobiliser or the ignition switch, it would fail to turn over.

maybe worth considering failed injector, if you search for "td4 leak back test" there a few threads on it, even show you how to make you own test rig with some coke bottles and a fuel pipe.
