i'm a silly silly fool

so my fog light failed the mot. got back at 10 tonight and had to fix for tomorrow. easy job, bulb and holder knackered, replace and were away. spare never arrived today. bugger. no worries i can do a temporary fudge! mmmm. no 12v at wires. ignition. still no 12v. maybe with engine on. no. mmm. take fuse box apart and start tracing wires. wire from fuse to switch is good. wire from switch to back is good. earth. good. test switch. yep, thats good. ok, must be fused supply. damn, no 12v. start tracing wires back...to headlight switch?...eh? OH BUGGER I AM A RETARD!!

in my half asleep state i forgot that the fog light only works when the headlight is switched on! der!! nothing wrong with the 12v supply at all. just knackered bulb holder. ho hum!!

That made me smile as it's the sort of thing I would do, and possibly have done, but I'm owning up to nothin'

Oh well, think I'll learn from somebody else's mistake!!!
