Got oot ma ippo tonite and spottid me naybors gottid blackberrys growing. Took some ter try. Gritty in me paws. Soaked em in watta to wash em and they is nice. So eye is going to take a cutting offit to grow me own.

Me cheap plant wiv the burnt leefs... eye pulled some oft before and new ones are growing so eye has pulled the rest oft tonite. Me and edgar is hoping we have saved it. Edgar said it would be wasting its energy to try to fix the burnt bits. So pull the leefs oft to help it. Eye fort he were being misstreevious but he was rite.

POS has only done 50k (allegedly).
But, you can't run around in it with a crank out of time position with cam-gears because the pistons will be kissing the valves pretty soon.
New engine would be 5k on a car worth 9k on autotrader. So its got to be done & worth doing. :)

The engine is a non contact engine unless its a Diesel, What year is it & engine is in it.

Looked at the first hit (the tube).
Come on @DanClarke it only took him 6 mins:p:D. But probably cost 1k for all the "special tools" though:rolleyes:.
Oh plus the day to get the engine out:oops:.

It also seemed that the crankshaft sprocket was basically held in place with clamping force only, or did I miss a locating dowel/key.might have to watch again.

The only thing I liked was lifting the whole lot out in a oner:).

I fink Dans got better things to do with his time TBH:D.

All the e-bay parts are like "BritPart" of questionable parentage.
The parts for the offered service are OEM from BadlyMotorWerken and are probably £400+ of the requested 950+VAT.
While I maybe "could" do it. If I phucked it up I would have no-one to get redress from. So best left to people that do this fairly often.
The people concerned did say that on the newer MINI Countryman, they won't undertake this work because there are 2 chains (not just one) and they are not in an accessible place and it means a complete engine-out operation.

A garage that wont take an engine oot. Thats strange. Main dealer could get ma hippo's v6 oot in 60 minnits wiv a lift.
 
Fink eye shud connect me castle guttering to me watta butts. Need to do it in a way so eye have the option to fill or not fill me butts frommit. Want to put a filter on me butts to stop moss gerrin in anorl.
You can get a fancy connector that goes onto a down pipe that stops putting watter in once it gets to a certain height.
Our watter company more or less gave us a big watter butt and a connector for it. Piece of pistachio to fit.
Only stopped using the butt cos the tap thing went fubar.
And we stopped being in the UK during the summer.
Over here we have a 3000 litre undergound tank that is filled from the downpipes. Fitted when the house was built.
Needs a "Hippo" pump!!!!!!!
