Great!
So if the FL slept in the tent, where did you sleep? In the FL?
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
🤣🤣

It was certianlky big enough that’s for sure , funny enough only used the tent a few times , reminds me once the summer comes I’ll sy it out on the lawn to check it, think it was a vango, if I got another one would like an inflatable tents seeing it’s just me

The 3 x door FL1 started out as van, so converted it to have rear seats, windows and seat belts , added the spots using a genuine Land Rover wiring loom which made life a lot easier , then retrofitted cruise control, that was after JLR told me it was impossible, very satisfying proving the dealer wrong, lol

How bad is it do thay do the eye drops first?
I thought my fairly recent slightly blurred vision was down to the cataract so did nowt about it until I went for the eye test last winter. It turns out the cataract really isn't a problem, yet.
Instead it is lack of tears in my left eye.
Apparently tears are made up of a combination of three liquids and one of them is oily. what ha happened is that the "jets" in my eyelids get clogged so the lubrication isn't all it should be. They told me to get drops and sold me a heat pad thing to put int microwave and then over my eyes for 10 minutes, then how to massage them correctly.
It isn't any worse and some days it is quite good. But I wish it was as good as it was before, it was my strongest eye with no astigmatism.
Wearing my contact lenses for far too long every day and driving a soft top kit car with them in did that eye no good at all. The othern hasn't suffered as much. I haven't been able to wear CLs for years now. :( :( :(

....and the good news is that just as I was preparing brekker a bloke came to our gate wanting a chat.
It turns out he has bought recently in the village and has been hunting desperately for somewhere to put a horse on.
So he asked me if he could use the bit of land we aren't using, the bit you know about where the donks were.
He is very keen says he'll clean the whole thing up, look after watering it himself when we aren't there etc.:banana::banana:
He has lived in Lille too and we got on very well, plenty to chat about and stuff in common.
So provisionally we have said yes, we won't be charging him as, if he is as good as his word, he will be doing us a favour.
He also has dogs and loads of fruit trees he's just planted.
So enjoying the day. Just finished the first cut all over. (the weeds I mean!).

Some good news, but he may want to put a horse shelter up. How is access to said piece of land?

Good result and good for when your not their 👌

Access is OK, at the top corner there is a bit of flexible fence he could easily get in. It's how the farmer used to get in when all the land for the four plots was a big field, and he went in with a tractor.
I don't care if he puts a field shelter up, it won't impinge on us at all as all the good view is in the opposite direction. If he does he'll prolly put it up against an edge away from both us and the road. The land is triangular shaped. One side us, one side the road, tother side a treelined "servitude" i.e. a path through a wood. That's where I imagine he'd put it. I am wondering if he'll put another one in, or a donk, to keep it company.

All to be seen and chatted about.

And the villages are normally right 👍
Some!
Some villages have feuds going on that date back to feudal times. We know one the other side of the valley like that!
And in ours, people have been sent to the equivalent of Coventry for marrying outside of the village, and there are only 300 peeps in it for 'eaven's sake!
Nowt so weird as folk.
And apart from the resident burglar, (or informant, who I doubt has ever taken anything personally as he isn't fussed who he burgles!) we seem to get on with all of 'em, cept prolly the donk man, although I don't think even he bears a grudge.
At least we get invited to all the village fun stuff!!:):):)

Since I last posted I have had lunch and realised that a field shelter would prolly incur a slight amount on the local taxes. :( even though it is uninhabitable.
Will have to check.
Mind maybe I could then get the field reclassified as arable which might offset it a bit. Not sure if we want that as getting outline PP isn't easy and we'd hate to lose that.
