been looking for a freelander for about 4-5 weeks
going to pick a 1999 v reg 1.8i up in the morning with a complete new prop shaft (not fitted) head gasket done but that was never going to be a problem and new clutch fitted body work looks good will post some pictures when i get it home
been reading up on the forum on what to look out for and hope this one will be ok i will when the weather breaks be going all over it and anything that needs doing will get done
i have x2 mgf's and plenty of engine spares but hope i will not need to use any for some time
first thing on the list is engine flush from toolstaion a trick i learnt remove plugs poor 1/4 of a bottle down each cylinder leave over night to soak past the rings then turn the engine over for 2 -3 sec's replace plugs and go and drive for 50 miles before an oil change

engine purrs along will have to change x2 tyres tread is fine but wall condition is not to good

Good for you mate. For those as know what they is doing, K series are a fine choice as the parts are cheap and easy to fix as you said.
