hello, me and my freind are wanting to go to the scrap yard (perlsley den in aberdeen) but would have to take her daughter (almost 3) too. would stan let us in ? as long as she is with us and not running about ? dont supose anybody would have a number to ask him ?? thanks in advance for any help :D

ps. sorry if this is in the wrong section

not if he's any sense, 3 yr olds, car parts and oil aint a good combination. as well as his liability issues should something happen. leave the kid in the car. it's safer than a scrapyard:rolleyes:

Dont leave the bubber in the car alone but leave her with a friend. Is that the massive scrappy in Aberdeen, I went there in 1988 for a mate to collect a burnt out GTV6.

the one beside tesco ? near the round about. yo go in and all the cars for bits are at the top. and the ones what are for crushing ate in a big dip at the bottom ? if so then yeah thats the one :p

What you goin in for ? Nothing land rpver related i hope - cracking place for bitsfor your escort/astra/kia fuxk all of interest - lived next to it till last august - unless it has changed

Fwiw i was going to scrap yards with me pops age 6

were looking for loads of bits, tyres / bump stops / disks and some other bits for her car. also will be looking for an exhaust / tyres / a tow bar and an injector pump for my van.
no, nothing land rover related, unless theres any tyres that will fit, have never seen anything decent for a landrover there.

I've been going into scrap yards on my own or with mates since I was 16 and no body has ever questioned me. The thing is, I was still adult sized. A tyre falling on me wasn't going to crush me and a forklift would see me. Taking a 3 year old into a scrap yard is down right stupid.

Our local wont let children in under 14 and must have an adult with them at all times.

Everyone is given a high visibility vest to wear while on site.

Not a good place for children due to contaminants and the danger of accidents, leave them at home if possible.

Local authorities are cracking down on health and safety at all recycling sites.
