Hey guys. Its been a while since I was last here as I haven't had a RR for 3 ish years.

Anyway..... I did love my P38, and I have a project in mind using the V8 lump out of one. Now ideally the auto would be nice as to avoid having to clutch it... But anyway. The question in mind is...

How much electronic gunf is needed to keep the engine functioning ? Does it need the BECM ? Can the engine be reconfigured to just work on a turn key with out the immobiliser etc? Does the electronics require a the instrument cluster?

If I wanted to take the lump out and bolt it to a pallet and run it up,what would need to remain attached?

Thanks.

The V8 in the Classic runs without electronics so anything is possible, the ZF4HP22 is also available in a non electronic version. If you want to use the later versions, you need to know about electronics.
