How much are 17" alloys worth?

Hi guys,

Mate of mine about to join our illustrious fellowship, she's buying an 04 TD4 HSE. It has 17" 6 spokes but I think she'll want to get some BFG's on there as she loves mine so she'll need 16's. How much could she get for her alloys? And how much do 16's tend to go for?

I'm hoping she can make a bit of money out of it .

Got my 16" rims *5 for £100 on ebay which I thought was cheap. Genuine LR alloys with a few scuffs (not bothered as a few rocks soon put some more scuffs on anyway) Tyres fairly worn but again not bothered as was putting different size on anyway.
Lucky as well - have upgraded brakes (53 plate) and only about 3 years worth of car wheels will fit.

Looks like the 17's go for about £200 for set of 5. She may make a tidy profit then .

I think this is about what I paid for my 17's with fairly decent tyres on them back in the day.

I have watched several sets on fleabay recently,
and your correct,,
£200 is about the money for a good used 5 set with uneven tread,
and a few light marks, up to £400 for a set in better condition..

Well we'll have to see if the motor is up to scratch first . Hopefully it'll be a goodun but I've said to expect a new VCU will be needed.
