As per the title, I have a pair of unskimmed 4.6 heads that I've tickled the ports on a bit and I want to raise the compression ratio a bit as 9.35:1 is too low for my tastes.
Trouble is, I don't know how far skimming x amount will raise the compression ratio. I know LR's maximum is .5mm but I don't know what effect that would have on compression and I also don't know if it's safe to take it any further - that's only 20 thou and I've heard of people taking 70 thou off rv8 heads.
Does anyone have any real time experience with skimming the 4.6 to raise compression?
