so guys, ive tryed videoing a recent laning trip with **** poor results on a dash cam ive bitten the bullet and bought a camcorder so the question is how do you fix yours to get good quality vids

Get a go pro, comes with a whole load of great attachements that can be bolted or stuck down pretty much anywhere

And a hefty price tag... Fanatics selling dash cams if you see his section, they look great quality too by the video he took, and there a fraction of the price.

I've got a mini 0803, its attached using a self adhesive patch on the mounting bracket (with built in GPS Rx). You can fit to right at the top of the windscreen behind the mirror and it doesn't get in the way

I use a GoPro HD hero 2 primarily. Mounting a standard camcorder is going to be difficult. I have made a fair amount of videos including the one for the LandyZone 10th meet. If you want some ideas for making off road videos and such, please see my YouTube account linked in my signature. Let me know if you need any more info about editing or whatever.

cheers guys, i will take your coments on board and D90 thanks for the offer of help on the editing side i may well need your expertise

Well worth a look, we've got the Mini801 dashcam in Deb's car and I use the SJ4000 (Go Pro clone) as a dashcam in mine.

i used the vcam cheap chinese **** 6 plus hours laning and i was left with 10 mins of video where i think it must film over the top on such a short loop, like i said in the first post just need to work out how or if to fix it some how

as the camcorder is only very small im thinking of adapting the vcam sucker mount in some way, its only 4 oz in weight

I've just been using a bog standard Lumix digital camera on a mount cobbled from an old satnav screen mount and a ball and socket head. Seems to work ok and cost nowt!

ive found the answer i think, in the way of a old bike light fitting, dril a hole in through the top to take a bolt of the right size thread, then i changed the fixing bar to a slightly longer one and tightened it to the grab handle on the dash ive tryed it on the way to work ok i know its not a green lane or off road but it looks promising with anti shake and auto focas it gave good results so far
