hi all
i have a lowd drone noise from under my feet...turbo went a few months ago...
i think was caused by having the wrong tyres put on at local garage
would love some feedback on this if pos
thanks in advance

Agreed, could be the VCU or it's bearings on the way out, as already recommended by above member get the prop shaft removed and see if the noise stops.
There's plenty of info on here about VCUs and their replacement.

thanks for the feedback guys
i should have explained a bit more..i know its not the turbo..i only mentioned the turbo bit cause i think that 205/65/16 tyres put on the front did some damage to the turbo..maybe..maybe not...but the drone sounds like its coming from the front passenger side ..its like one wheel is on tarmack and the other on gravel..sort off

once again thanks for your feed back

Are you saying you have 205/65/16 tyres on the front and something else on the back?

i thought that as well when i read it

hope the same size tyres are fitted on it as i can see a vcu going south , unless the ird and diff have gone too

Tyres won't cause a turbo problem, it's more likely a wheel bearing or something in the transmission that's droning if you have different tyre sizes front and rear you will have big problems with vcu or ird or both

thanks guys
i did have odd tyres on...but all the same size now... i will take the prop off and see if its the vcu and get back to you`s
