Freelander 1 Hi, Where does this plate / bracket go? I removed it from my freelander 2003 1.8 petrol, whilst removing the gearbox and now stuck! Please help.

Hi, great and many thanks for the picture. so do I need to seperate the IRD from gearbox to fit this bracket or will it go in place with gearbox and IRD assembled? Also I have an extra bolt which is probably the dowel bolt on same picture, which I have missed during reassembling. How important is this bolt and can it be fitted without dismantling! Regards

Suggest you get a manual. All bolts are important and must not be left out. The picture shows the plate between the IRD and bracket so take it apart and fit plate and all bolts as shown.
