Hey people!! Hope you all enjoyed Christmas as much as I did. Anyway, bin fixin the Rangie (again):drama: After changing the ABS Booster Valve/master cylinder thing, the brakes were a bit better but not 100%

Decided pads looked a bit worn so thought I should change the pads. Damn that was cold out there today, -1deg.C most of the day. Anyway, sorted a sticky caliper on front left. Took out pads on front right and the hub/disc assembly went all floppy:confused2: :scratching_chin: That'll be a stuffed wheel bearing then.

So there is the answer to a rather unreliable brake pedal - shot bearings. Swapped the bearings out but didn't have a new grease seal so will have to chance it with the old one for now, as long as it gets me to Wales and back next week I'm not too fussed. Looks like I've got major front end work to do though - bushes, ball joints, swivel seals and now pistons/seals on brake callipers and sort front bearings properly. Hey ho, that's Range Rovers I guess:ballchain:

See you all soon.

Hey Kev.... outstanding... glad you managed to get it mostly sorted.

What's the chances of my hijacking your torque wrench while you are gallivanting in the welsh stuff?

Cheers mate

Hi everyone, going to a pay and play tomorrow. don't know what it will be like as i have not been this one before and haven't found any info about it on the net, just know it is ment to be a really big site. Isle of wight Farm at Gerrards Cross, Don't think it opens very often, been sorted out by the Burnham Off Road club, will sort out some pictures tomorrow.

I'll be good later in the week. I'm sorting my Brakes out ATM. Poxy front brakes shoes are too big to fit inside the drums, same thing as last time, have to grind down the metal ends to shorten them. Gearbox needs some oil and front axle seal is leaking. Not much to do really.

Still rebuilding, repairing and re-moting! Still got your gazebo up spydie but don't worry I'll drop it back as soon as the repairs are finished if that s ok!

Its bloody freezing! been cutting down trees with an axe much faster than the silly pretend chainsaw i was using that took forever. at least it keeps me warm! another day or so of clearing up and its landy fixing time. Jai

How was Gerrards Cross Kris?
Hi Chris, had one of the best days ever, the pay and play site was really good and we entered the punch challenge they were holding, big turn out of vehicles and some of these vehicles were £30,000 plus full on challenge preped. We were able to drive up all the hills and punch our card, where most couldn't get in place unless they used a winch. Showed a lot of people up with very expensive vehicles in our £800 SJ and came away with 2nd place.
