Did learn a valuable lesson tho. To never get involved again ;)
Got lots to do with my disco but no time or good weather to do it.
I think in future I will keep all my favours for myself then I wont end up in the ****e like I am now. Don't get me wrong, I have earned a few quid doing some of the guys trucks but been taken for a ride by others and am so ****ed off that I let myself get dragged into it.
Got a full set of wheel bearings to replace and both props are shagged all my oils need a change and could do with a cam belt change.

db if you need a hand let me know ill be doing my stub axle Friday weather permitting but after that i can help ya if ya wanna hand Jai

Sorry chaps I got the hump !
April time this year I did a head gasket for a guy who used to be my neighbour at my old place and he managed to blow the engine to bits a few weeks later. He has posted on another forum that he thinks it was my fault due to me not having done the gasket properly and thinks I should pay for the replacement engine !!! Cheecky kunt never paid me a cent for doing the gasket in the 1st place and he drives like a ****. Its a 2 1/4 petrol series 3 and he aint happy with the performance coz it wont go over 80 on the motorway. KNOB.
Another mate of mine upon reading has gone nuts and called him all the names possible but got banned from thr "other" forum and now the original post has been removed. As you can imagine I am still raging and want to rip his head right off his shoulders. I did it in the rain outside my house for him on a Saturday and he went on his merry way on the Sunday after him and his biatch stayed over at mine for the night and ate my food and drank my beer promissing that when he got paid a week later there would be a bit of wedge coming my way. Never saw a dime and now wish I wasnt such a nice chap in the 1st place. Should have told him no cash no work.
Also found out he was quoted £500 from his local garage to get it done and that he had been round there bragging that he had it done for fook all !!!

Hey DB! Got a bitof work needs doin on my disco... give you a fiver if it gets through the MOT in a year's time... Deal?:D

S'ok mate... we're all mates here and sounding off once in a while is all par for the course. You just have to remid yourself that for every arsehole there are ten decent blokes. I believe this thread/forum has its fair share of the latter.

This is why i stopped doing private work years ago, You do a good job for a fraction of the price and they think there doing you a favour for letting you work on there car. They will pay loads of cash to a dealer thinking they will get a better job done, but want to pay people next to nothing to have it done private, how little do they know.

Ive just bought a Range Rover:D
3.9 auto with a sick transfer box and lots of dents with no tax but a few months MOT for £150 :high5: It has been used lots offroad (thats where it will spend most of its life with me) and its gas converted.

should i buy or stick been offered a disco for 200 2"lift protection etc needs P/S box and 2 bearings thats what ive been told needs doing not sure what to do
