Hi All

Am new here so just wanted a bit of advice to see if I am being taken for a mug by my garage with me being a woman and all haha!

I have a Range Rover Sport 2008. A month or so ago when I was driving I lost power and three lights came up on dashboard and I had to limp home. RAC took a look and didn’t know what it was, but cleared all the codes. My garage took a look but didn’t know what it was as all codes were cleared.

Also if I turn engine off it is ok for a bit when I turn on!

they changed fuel filters. Then same thing happened again week after so I took it back they said it needed a new fuel pump. Got that replaced and was ok for a few days now it’s started again!

Am taking it back the garage next week but have Googled the problem and it says it may be wastegate blocked or EGR valve. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for the long post.

Thanks

Welcome:)

Sounds like they maybe fitting and hoping, without actually knowing.

You would do better asking in here https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/range-rover.10/

Also post a pic of which lights show up, or at least tell us which ones. There’s quite a few to guess:) Oh and list the codes they clear would also help.

Good luck.

Thanks for your messages.

The RAC said it was the clutch actuator position sensor.

the lights that are coming are,

brake system
Suspension system
Dynamic stability control

anyone has any ideas please let me know.

thanks

Perhaps buy yer own diagnostic device to look up error codes yerself if yer worried garages are ripping you oft.

Welcome.
Best to keep your thread in the Range Rover sub-forum updated.
I would echo the thought that a duff/failing battery makes these cars throw all sorts of hissy-fits over not much at all.
But, get the codes read and recorded (not just cleared) and then update your thread in the Rangie section.
Don't let a garage just throw parts at it at your expense.
