So hang on, if I recall, there was the SE, HSE and Vogue. So what is the Vogue SE I've seen on the roads? Is that even more luxurious?

The Vogue SE was introduced later in the model run from 2005...difference was the offering of the Supercharged 4.2 V8, plus:

Rear Seat Entertainment (DVD screens)
Nicer leather
Heated & cooled front seats.
Adaptive headlamps to look round corners
Auto dimming exterior mirrors (mine has these oddly)
20" alloys. (got these too)

Who knows lol

Buy one and let us know :p
Ah-ha, Parkers are a godsend. SE means you get 2 extra letters on the tailgate and a DVD player.

My excuse is I was mostly intoxicated. You get the general idea though. Don't waste your money on the SE. Either HSE or Vogue. Personally the Vogue SE isn't worth the 2k premium for a DVD player. Although I imagine those two extra letters are worth about 1,800.

Sooo were sayin that it all depends on what the original customer orders as extras so if I find somert I like I've just gots check the extras and ignore the badge? When I was getting my p38 I knew what it had just from what badge it had, would of helped if it had said money pit next to the DSE badge on the tailgate lol.

I think what he's saying is buy a Vogue if you can find one and the Vogue SE isn't worth the extra dosh. Good luck with your hunting. I'm sure you'll love it - although I don't like the look of the L322 very much, they are fantastic to drive compared to a P38.

P38 and L322 follow the BMW basic car plus kit of parts system. My P38 is a DHSE but has manual seats for example:)

Yes the L322 are ugly front end wise but its still the newer Shape than mine and not too much different from the latest, I converted my bosses p38 to the L322 front and was amazed at how much I had to chop out so needles to say I didn't do it to mine, surely though it would only be a case of unbolting and rebolting if I wanted to put the 2006 model front end on the early l322??

And yes noted and agreed mr Datatek but for such a big and "clever" company BMW dropped some big clangers, carnt help thinking they should of stuck to building cars and left the 4x4 market to Landrover themselves and developed the bomb proof TDI to the next level. :D

There's no way BMW would admit any Rover engine was better than theirs by developing it. Development K-series engines absolutely murdered the BMW 4 pots in terms of specific power output, emissions and efficiency but BMW wouldn't spend a penny on them, the K-Series problems were useful for limiting Rover sales and generating bad headlines - making it much easier for BMW to ditch the company after they'd finished asset stripping it. SAIC spent peanuts (actually hired British company Ricardo engineering) to fix the K-series, the (ironically titled) N-Series and NCI(?)-Tech are the result - bulletproof, efficient and light - what the K-Series should have been in the first place had they been given the budget to develop it properly. Most major parts are interchangeable with a K-Series - shows how far ahead of its time this engine was. The TD5 was also kicking the crap out of BMW 2.5 diesels on the bench in terms of spread of power - BMW canned development immediately.

Theres quite a bit of work to convert an early L322 to the facelift model, i think Hippo has done it and the amount of work was astonishing apparently

not done it yet Saint !

not found the time to get round to it. lol need to allow a whole weekend to get the job done :D
