Help please!!

Anybody in the menchester area!! I have a 96 discovery 1 300tdi... Yesturday my front right wheel started a weird scraping noise.. So i checked brakes and pads they are fine.. Pretty sure its wheel baring has dried up and needs greasing.. Problem is i dont have the tools to do it myself or the knowledge! Can anybody help me?

Could be wheel bearing or cv joint or summit else.

You will need a new wheel bearing not just grease the old one

if wheel bearing is making a noise it needs replacing not just grease,jack wheel up does it have any play ?spin it etc

Are you getting play left to right or top to bottom?
Just asking because could be Swivel pin bearing fooked.

Only if u knew the amount off work i do on his disco haha

and swivel bearings hmmm didnt think about that
it seems like its only the one wheel and has a lot off play

wheel bearing was an advisory on his mot a few weeks back thats why first thoughts was bearing as done 2 greenlaning trips since then

2x Hub bearing kit
1x Hub nut spanner
1x pot of grease, you gonna need more than that supplied in kit

and read this: Wheel bearings: I know its says for rear wheel bearings, bu the procedure is the same
