Hi,
I could do with some help or advice please.
I have a 97 p plate 4.6 HSE with Multi Point LPG conversion
I was Driving to work today went to overtake a lorry on a bit of dual carrage way put my foot in and all was fine until i nearly got past the lorry the all of a sudden i had no power and had to pull over the idle was high at about 1100 rpm and was hunting butween 900 and 1100 rpm waited a bit 5 mins and the idle settled then went to pull away and when the revs get to about 1500 rpm the the rev counter would go all over the place between 2200 and 1100 rpm with no or little power and the car would lurch about under 1500 rpm the car would sort of drive normally.
Sat in traffic in park tried revving the engine to see if the rev counter would go all over the plance and it did with some really lound back or mis fires with a lot of smoke out the back.
I dont know what is wrong any ideas? i tried the same on lpg and petrol and the results were the same with the revs and back / misfire the exhaust does have a little blow but it hasn't affected it for the last 2 weeks and it was raining this morning but so far that has not been a problem.
No warning lights or messages come up on the dash
It feels like having a blocked jet on older carb cars if that helps
Thanks in advance
