Help please!! 4130 - Rear left height sensor out of range (Short or broken wire)

Hi thank for your reply I think ive done it right I hope I see you have had this problem before with your ride hight sensor
 
Hi I’m new to this page I need some help I’ve put air back on I’ve fitted New ride sensors new plugs and new bags. I’m now getting a fault code of rear left ride hight supply out of range. The right side is reading 142 and the left is still reading but only at 38
Hi, if they were britpart or other aftermarket sensors it's possible to be faulty on arrival so first of all swap them over and if the fault goes to the other side you need a new good sensor but if the fault remais the same it's a wiring issue or bad contact in the plug... or in the worst case an ECU fault but that's not so common... report the result and we'll speak then

Okay that’s great I will try and swap them tomorrow and see if that make any difference I think I have done this already but I can’t remember. You have any wiring diagram for the left hand side ride hight sensor cheers
 
So today I put hight sensor for the right to the left and still got the fault code of supply out of range. I decided to fine the wires on slabs unit and I fitted the height sensor in cab just to make sure it’s not the wiring at fault but still no joy so I tested the power supply to left and right 5.45volts I don’t know it’s that’s right or not ? and they are both the same unit you plug in the height sensor to the left I get 0.69 volts if I unplug it goes back up using the same sensor but plugged it to the right side the voltage don’t change. Does this sound like the slabs unit has gone down ???

I read 3 times what you wrote and it still makes not much sense to me... keep it simple if you can't be clear, did you swap the two sensors between them as i suggested and got the same fault code or the code went to the other side? that's important cos i have no ideea what else you did there

So I swap the sensor form the other side and made no difference still the same fault so I fitted the two sensors straight to the slabs and still the same fault even if I swap sensors does this mean the slabbs it’s done for ??
 
Supply voltage should be 4.75-5.25VDC, any more or less indicates a problem, either with the DC-DC converter or the ground, depending on the measured voltage - and where you measured it between.
Are both sensor supply voltages the same? (5.45VDC)
Sensor output terminal open circuit should be >4.5VDC (this is how it detects open circuit, short circuit is detected if <0.5VDC) What you could do for testing, is disconnect the 5VDC supply wiring and use a jumper wire to give the sensors 4.75-5.25VDC from a suitable sensor supply output and then check for normal operation (this could also be done with a DC power supply referenced to the vehicle ground connection). If this rectifies the concern, then there is a problem with the DC-DC converter and you need to look at replacing / repairing the affected module.

So if I have no sensors connected I have 5.35v on left and right if I put sensor back on right I get voltage of 5.30v ish but if I connect left sensor the voltage just drops to 0.6-0.8 volts even with the sensor form the right that works I thinks it’s the slabs unit is down but I’m not sure
 
5.35 & 5.30VDC are still too high. Without being there and testing myself, I'm not sure either - it could well be corroded wiring. Some of your comments above are not easily understood / ambiguous so without first-hand testing I'm not confident in giving a diagnosis, If you think it's the SLABS and you feel you have exhausted all other options, then replace it.
 
5.35 & 5.30VDC are still too high. Without being there and testing myself, I'm not sure either - it could well be corroded wiring. The voltage both sides with no sensors on are at 5.35v ish but the voltage on the left will drop right down to 0.6v when the sensor is connected and that’s joining the sensors straight in the the slabs unit so I don’t know

how did you connect the sensor to the SLABS , did you unpin the wires and connect others or how?...If you fitted the sensors directly to the SLABS while the original wiring of the vehicle remained unconnected then the ECU is faulty... if you spliced into the wires that circuit is still not ruled out if you see what i mean

Yes mate I unpinned and went straight in the slabs with the sensors and still the same fault so the wiring down the original place is not connected to slabs no more what do you think it is to me it’s the slabs

Then yes, the SLABS is at fault, it can happen that's why i mentioned it in my first reply
