Cry for help, My Friends 300tdi Discovery is over heating, the cooling system appears to be being pressurising, the brief history is the cam belt snapped prior to that there was no over heating problem, He replaced the push rods, cam belt and reassembled, this is when the over heating problem started so he changed the head gasket and in the process fitted a brand new head (old head had been skimmed out of spec it turns out) and still it over heats. Its odd he has had single journeys of 170miles trouble free then other times she wont go 10miles without dropping all her coolant again and again.

Any suggestions or advice would be great fully received, he has got to the point where he is prepared to pay for someone to look at it

Wish all a happy new yr,

did he use the right h/gasket i'v been told there are several thicknesses,
just looked in the manual says the same.
