I have a leak on the injection pump (the top of the pump where the tickover and fuel temp sensor etc etc)

I can send a picture (if needed) as 3 of the 4 bolts are torque heads but one is a security head and is approx 7.5mm

I need to know if anyone has removed this bolt as I have a leak and have the seals but can't get into them to change them because of this one bolt.

No one locally has the socket to remove the bolt and I would like to know if anyone else has done this job and if so how was this bolt removed.

I would like to keep the pump on the car whilst doing the job (remove the inlet manifold etc) but other than welding a socket to it or using metal paste to bond the socket to the head of the bolt I can't come up with any other way

Help is appreciated..................Thanks in advance

You can get the special socket to fit the security bolt but the bolt usually ends up UC anyway.
JM told me you can use an old 7 mm socket and tap it on tight with a hammer. Will ruin the cheaper socket piece but will undo it. Replace with a normal metric bolt.

If you are talking the triangular one most people just hammer a cheep socket over the top to undo it.
make sure you scribe marks across the flanges of the top on all sides to help realignment as it has to be exactly the same place and make sure the little pin inside goes back in the collar .
and do you have diag to check its back in the right place,

Thanks for all the info, I do have the software and equipment to make sure everything is right.........I tried to put a 7mm socket on but it won't have any of it.

@Mukiwa do you have a tool I can buy from you?

Cheers
