Hello everybody

I'v registered on here as I need help, proper help.

Last week driving down the A1(M) at normal speed 65-70mph, the red engine
Warning light lit up and my FL lost power.

I puller over, under 1400-1600 rmp engine warning light went out and
Power was regained, but again over 1400+ RPM the engine light came back on
And loss of power.

The FL was trailered back to Oxfordshire, I drove it off the low loader on to my drive.

The following morning it was towed of to my local garage. Now the FL only idles for a 2-3 minuets before stalling.

The car was full of fuel, oil level was good, water level good.the garage did find
A code 142 injector fault on number 1 injector, but this has been cleared and has not come back, there is a good fuel flow to number 4 injector when pipe loosened.

When you press the accelerator peddle to the floor there is NO increase in engine revs.

Ok over to you lot, I need good ideas (please no set fire to it and buy a disco)

Thanks in advance
Mike

could be the pump in the tank or even a filter blocked where it lets a small amount through but will not let full flow through you do not say what year your freelander is

OK all a quick update

My freelander is still at the garage, a local Landrover dealer put there data logging kit on the car and found a fault in the fuel pump.

The pump has gone away to a pump firm who have found the pump problem and repaired it the pump has been refitted, but the problem is still there.

My garage is at a loss, MID engineering at a loss.

I might have to call this quits and buy another car.

Cheers Mike
