Help Huge grumble very loud

Help Urgent suggestions needed
Suppposed to be going to Yorkshire this weekend for a weeks green laning
came to work this am and just as slowing down for entrance to car park from 40mph
HUGE very loud grumble from somewhere.
If you imaging VERy noisy tyre then its similar but louder.
All tires still pumped up, gearbox still works, clutch still works.
Not had a chance to jack it up yet to see if all the wheels turn.
Front wheel bearings recently replaced, rears not touched as had other jobs to do, and I did not check strip and check them
Do wheel bearings just go?

They can do - or rather it can be easy to miss the signs of imminent failure. Seen a few posts on here of them locking up the whole wheel at speed

Sure you didn't drive over one of them rumble strips on the road?

could be a dried out bearing, i did a 200mile trip along which a bearing on mine dried up completely, no oil, but it was still intact enough to move, but as soon as i slowed down it was a very ovious noise, but at speed you couldnt notice it

Thanks chaps, turned out to be a collapsed rear wheel bearing, passenger side. Lucky it did not lock up!!!!!
