Hi Been members for a couple of years and find all the threads really helpful, it's good to know others have had same problems as me. Thank you for all your help so far, just one point if someone can help, I am in the processes of replacing head gasket on K series Freelander could anyone tell me what sealant I should put on the shim head gasket if any, I have had the head skimmed.

read up well , you need to check liner heights amongst other things

Yes a liners look equal across the block do you know what height should be?
