Hello, i'm Darren i'm new to the forum and might i say what a wealth of knowledge there is on here! My brother has had a landrover 90 in the past and my father had a series 3 a good few years ago. So I have been around land rovers a lot and have just recently got to the stage where i could afford to buy my own.
so i bought a 1990 110 county on in Scotland on at the weekend while over seeing the Ireland vs Scotland Rugby match, poor show Ireland!
Anyway it is a bit rough and ready but will hopefully do my job well and be a good long term project for me to enjoy. I have had a ball so far driving it and working at it changing the thermostat to get some heat and the alternator belt.
On the way home it developed a loud whistle from the turbo and i took the pipes off it to find there is a bit of play in the impeller/fan and so i will require a new turbo. If anyone has a good tight second hand one kicking about that isnt going to cost the earth let me know as id be interested in it.
originally the landrover was a 2.5 n/a and was upgraded when the engine blew to a discovery 200tdi however some parts of the conversion are bodged a tad and im not 100% happy with them.
The wheels had off road tyres but the whine on the journey home was too much and i picked up a set of road rims and tyres locally

the white wheels are the ones it came on.
