my mechanic just replace my freelander 2004 timing belt and now i have 3 misfire ..cylinder 1,4 and 6..any idea? the car was running fine before and now i have a problem ,,please do you have any clue? thanks

1,4 and 6 - that's a strange one.... if you said 2 4 and 6 , it would almost seem to indicate the valve timing was a tooth or two out, but cylinder 1 is on the other bank isn't it??
Sorry; other than checking spark plugs and plug leads are pushed tightly onto each plug......
Has your mechanic got a diagostic tool to read the codes?

P0171.p0300.p0306.p0301.p0304

had a look in the code book and in order

system to lean , bank 1 O2/ lamda sensor

timing error

cyl 6 misfire

cyl 1 misfire

cyl 4 misfire

says to check ignition , fuel and timing

don't know if that's any use to u ??

wonder if he's caught a wire , not plugged in a sensor or broken

surely though he should be able to fix it as it was fine before hand ,

One of two sensors... either the cam angle sensor has been slightly damaged (if there are two. Swap them around and see if the errors occur on the remaining cylinders.
Or crank angle sensor...

i cleaned all codes and replace some burn wires...now after drive it for 40 miles codes are back ...p0300 p0302 p0304 p0306.....i think bad timing because rough idle ..but fine on high idle don't know why....clueless
