Hi all you great Land Rover fans!

I'm Steve and live in the beautiful county of Somerset, I have a 1998 Disco 1 300tdi which I've owned for 10 years and it's been a great łvehicle for me. It's a bit rough around the edges bit goes great and tows my Ifor Williams trailer with tractors on no problem. I had a 200 tdi before for about 4 years but I like the 300 better, just a little more refined.

Now my plea for help. I've been starting to get a few problems with the immobiliser and or two button fob, I bought a spider bypass connector but when I went to fit it today discovered that the spider is not there. I have the AMR 6429 box fitted on the near side under the glove box. Is there a bypass modification I can make to disable the imobiliser? Due to the age of the vehicle it is of little value and I just need it to start when I want it to, I've put in a switch to directly connect the starter motor feed but it's the fuel pump solenoid connections in not sure about. It has three wires brown, white with red tracer and looks like a black with purple tracer. I'm very much hearing from you all with your advice. Thanks for having me :)

steve.
you can change the solinoid to the older single wire type but you will have to remove the protective case off you current solinoid. mine fell off after using a small drift and a hammer. you can use one of the feeds from the 3 pin plug to energise your new solinoid. pretty simple job but no imobiliser function once done
