Hi - car is a 1994 Rangie soft dash 3.9 Vogue SE. About a week ago I suddenly lost heater blower operation ( completely, all speeds. ) I also noticed that the a/c button light was not illuminated when pushed in and the a/c seems to be totally inoperative - I last checked it about a month ago and it was OK. It may be a coincidence, but the radio is also dead - but I very rarely switch it on - the V8 is my favourite music! According to stuff on the forums, the soft dash uses P38 electrics in this area. I checked every fuse ( with an audible continuity tester ) in the main box by the driver's knees - all OK. Then the six blade types in the box under the bonnet next to the coolant reservoir - OK. And the big master fuses in the box checked out visually OK. My next check will be the relays. I took off the cover beneath the glove box looking for the five relays, heating and aircon. I could see a steel cradle holding mostly yellow relays - cradle held in by a bolt. I was working outside and at this point had to call it a day. But does anyone know if I had found the relays in question? Or if not, where are they located, please? And the big motor under the glove box - it that the heater blower? And finally the rheostat - is it attached to the motor housing ( as per P38 ) or under a cover on the bulkhead in the engine compartment ( as in a Classic.) Your advice most welcome!
