Heated Front Windscreen

My heated front screen doesn't seem to work. When you switch it on there seems to be no "click" like the rear one and the indicator light on the switch does no come on. Apparently the fuse is fine (someone else checked for me as i am a bit of a novice) so was wondering where else i may look?

It has a relay too, R8 in the engine bay fusebox(middle in the outer row among the bigger ones, swap it with the one near it from the inner row(headlamp powerwash) if it works put a new one. If not, check the switch itself...bridge pin 1 with pin 4 or unplug and verify continuity between 1 and 4 with switch pressed, or give earth to pin 1(to the wiring part off course)...as u wish... but if still no joy the problem becomes complicated cos that frigging BCU is involved
