hazzard warning lights not working

went for MOT today and hazzard lights not working,tested switch it o.k,if indicatiors are on then use the hazzard switch it stops indicators.any suggestions as we are stumped,cheers
 
There must be a break in the connection somewhere, the hazard switch overrides the indicator switch so if there's no power to the hazard switch then it may cause it to override the indicator switch without putting power to the lights, if that makes any sense.
 
I had similar problem. The switch would cut the indicator without putting on hazard. It was the switch at fault (must have been lack of use) have you checked both sides of fuse. The holding clips sometimes need cleaning and adjusting with pliers.
 
checked bothsides of the fuse and cleaned them,would one side of the fuse side be live?or does the power come from somewhere else then through fuse to prtec the flasher unit?
