Hi , i have just bought a set of roof bars for my 2005 three door ,they are not the type that go over the whole of the hardtop and fix on the rear of the vehicle but they run from the front to rear of the hardtop roof only , i was wondering if anyone had seen these before as i havent and i need some advice on how to fit them? i didnt want to drill holes so are they on the hardtop predrilled ? they have two bolts at each end,if i have to drill do i have to remove the headlining and if so how difficult is that? never seen this type but i think they will look smart when fitted and slightly differrent , thanks in advance

this similar mod was raised a few weeks back (i cant be arsed to search to post the link sorry)

it was advised that they wouldnt be the most safe of roof bars, they will be loading the hard top which was never designed for it.

agree with the other guys

sounds like ones for a five door???

plus as the other guys have said not designed for weight bearing

have u got a pic plse

i have a photo but no idea how to post , i bought them as i wasnt going to pay the £300 people are asking on ebay and they will only be used for show ,not cross bars etc would be used , they look smart , i didnt want the top as obviously i have one so will fit them to mine when they come , i dont know where they came from originally but i think they will look differrent , i will post a photo when done

3dr roof bars tend to be around 80-150... That advert on eBay trying to sell at £300 has been on there for over 8 months. Buy some proper ones (local breakers some times have them) then you can load bikes ect on top without the worry of weight too much.
