I took my 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 with 46k on into my (excellent!) indie today wanting transfer case/rear dif and haldex oil and filter changed. I'd had the automatic transmission oil changed earlier this morning by Chester Automatics and wanted to complete the set. Anyhow, when I went to collect it they told me that they'd been unable to drain the transfer case so I agreed to leave that. A short while later they told me that they'd done the rear dif OK but couldn't get the haldex off the shaft - it appeared to be well and truly stuck. As I'd bought the vehicle from them in June, and as they gave it a 12 month warranty, and as they are the sort of place that are really straight up and down, I trust them implicitly. However, I really would like to get the haldex oil and filter changed and aslo the transfer case oil changed.
Can anyone suggest a solution - I live in North Shropshire so don't want to travel more than fifty or so miles.
