Whats an inner gutter?

I found a channel running behind the inner roof gutter, sealed along that area, both sides and returns to door, I've stopped a lot of water ingress, but not all. its not draining from inside roof into guttering, so where else could it be coming from ?.

By the way, even as I pinged my last thread, I new some smart ass would try to de-rail my legitimate question, :clap2: PERHAPS SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL HAVE AN ANSWER. The best solution so far seems to be the corner hole drilling method. :bowl:

I think that the boy is talking about the flange on the roof that sits on the side panels, through which it is bolted.

Surely that's condensation collecting, as opposed to a leak? Either way though, you could run small pipes down into the wheelarch boxes, but Pikey's Orifice is much more simple.

Hi Boguing, its not condensation, I always leave both door windows an inch open, (covered by the wind deflectors ). my roof is the older kind with the two rear top vents, so though ventilation generally keeps inner roof dry. HOLD ON, WIFE just casually mentioned,, perhaps waters getting though the vents.. sounds to simple, but I will look into that.

Regarding Pikeys solution, drilling rear corner outlet holes, me being an old retired builder, and to keep the corners tidy mate, do I go the swan neck way, or just an outlet spout;), in plastic, cast iron, or aluminium..

Sorry that a low was reached mentioning your orifice, Pikey, but your idea was first rate mate, and if I cant solve my water problem, I know your idea will. Thanks.

Have you replaced the seals between roof and tub sides?

Hi Nobber, all seals were renewed about eighteen months ago, along with a full respray, plus as mentioned earlier, ive applied tiger seal to all joints.

Outcome is, ive sorted ( pray ), nearly all leaks, except what water collects in back end of internal gutters. ill get there soon,, I feel it in my water..:p

You need to have someone spray it with a hose and sit in there with a torch. Get them to spray in all direction to try and force water through any holes.

think ive sorted leak problem,,, after running fine tiger seal to all body joints= water was still collecting in internal guttering both sides.

the front top windscreen and hood joint had always looked sealed, but what the hell, I run a tiger across same seam, cleaned residue with turppy cloth,, and no more roof leaks.

only got the door seal minor leaks around mirror areas to deal with now.
