guide to fitting defender door locks required

Hello all,

I'm about to buy some replacement front door locks for my 1985 landrover 90, it has lift up style door handles and didn't come with any keys when i bought it.

Is there a guide anywhere on how to do this, is it an easy job?
cant seem to find a guide anywhere

If it's anything like the 300tdi it is very easy and no special tools or knowledge required.

Yeah it's easy, when I got mine I had no keys for the doors. I drilled the old locks out and fitted new.

Have a look in my 00kk53 build as I can't remember how I did it lol but basically it was drill the old lock out then there is a small pin that when removed allows the lock to be withdrawn

i recall doing the same, be careful when drilling i think i went too far with one of mine and ended up buying a new locking mechanism, iirc
