Grinding noise

Hello. Ive got a discovery 2. Theres a loud grinding noise coming from front wheel. Replaced discs and pads as they were worn. Still had same noise. Removed hub. Felt ok when turning. Split hub to check bearings. They apear to be ok. Has any body got any ideas? Was going to clean hub bearings and reassmble with new grease and refit before buying new parts. Thankd

1/ CV joint?
2/ replace whole hub, tis easier and more likely to last. and less of a pain when it comes to the reluctor ring and sensor.

In fact I'm a bit surprised that you managed to split the hub etc.

Yeah you need to replace that hub, the crush spacers can only be torqued down once, the bearings will die quickly.

Hello. Thanks for the replies. Hub pressed apart quite easily. Ii looks like anew hub is needed. I hope this sorts out grinding noise. Im not convinced the hub is at fault.
