grinding noise when releasing the gas pedal

SOLVED:
Finally solved the grinding noise issue:
- The delta between the diff side propshaft operating angle and axle operating angle was approx 2.5 degrees.
One of the rules regarding propshaft angle is : Operating Angle 1 vs Operating Angle 2: within 1 degree
I solved this by adding a wedge between the axle and the springs. New Operating Angle 1 vs Operating Angle 2 is 0.5 degrees.
No noise any more :)
Did not expect a few (2) degrees would make such a difference

How did you measure the angles as I have castor wedge in front axle due to prop appearing to short after fitting parabolics years ago would like to take them out but need to accurately check flange angles.

Interesting, Ive been getting that grinding noise too. I'll have to check my angles but I'll wait until the weather gets warmer

How did you measure the angles as I have castor wedge in front axle due to prop appearing to short after fitting parabolics years ago would like to take them out but need to accurately check flange angles.
Used a digital angle finder (they have a magnetic base, so easy to attach; measure absolute and relative angles)
