As subject really. I haven't had a chance to get underneath yet but so far my plan of action will be to give the props a quick yank then lift a wheel on both axles (one at a time, diff locked) and try and reproduced the noise by manually turning wheels in and out of gear and in and out of neutral in transfer box. I'll have a look at the hand brake I rebuilt a couple of weeks ago and then I might be able to start pinning it down to something specific. any thoughts? :)

hi you say rebuilt the handbrake recently ! could a spring or maybe a shoe have failed ?? ive seen the whole backing come unbonded and try to ride over the second shoe !! other than that try taking the large round cover plate off transfer box and check for play in large bearings that hold high low input gear ! they fail !! before doing any stripping down drop oil check for pieces of metal .these can be good clues as to what may be failing !!
