Morning all,

After trawling through this forum for over six months I thought it was about time I registered and introduced myself. I bought an 03 plate Freelander TD4 last year when I was in the market for a car and a friend told me they were easy to work on, what he didn't tell me was the only reason they are easy to work on is because they seem to develop faults quicker than you can fix them. I thought everything was going well for the first three months only having to change a few of the window regulators and sealing the waterfall that came through my non working sunroof but all that changed when it went in for its latest MOT, it passed after spending £700 to have all the brakes redone including pipes.
Since then I have, with the help of this forum, had to change my intercooler pipes as well as curing a very smokey engine when cold and numerous other faults. The plan is to keep it ticking over on the road for another 12 months when I am looking to upgrade to a Range Rover which has always been the dream since I drove one over 29 years ago.
