Yeah I have although Ive never used it as I got it yesterday!

no cb here. i can shout pretty loud and have a horn though

How does meeting at Northants Services M1 junction with A43 (J15a?)

Meeting there at 9am possible? (i'm open to suggestions, just putting suggestions out there!)

Not a massive issue if you don't all have CB's, just makes things easier sometimes. Depends which landy i bring depends if i'll have mine or not - i blew the engine up on the series last weekend, though it is my preferred landy for laning

Oh, and really suggest finding a passenger, this route is EXTREMELY gate heavy!

What channel for cb?

Would that be north or southbound? Seems a good place, although being so big i guess we just need to be more specific about where within the services we meet up.

Or we'll end up 'soliciting' every 4x4 on the site.

As i think we are all coming from the North, Southbound. In the car section of the car park, i'll post which one i'm in before we leave, but either stand out quite well, there can't be too many orangy discos and even less Series 2A truck cabs sat in the car park of the services. I'll also PM out my mobile number before hand if anyone has any problems, not going to post it on a public forum though!

Well my vehicle of choice for this expedition is a 300TDi Discovery 1 in the usual faded shade of Land Rover Green.
Channel 25 on the chicken box, check.

Hi i have been following this thread ,,would my TD5 be OK with the front skirt on as iv taken a liken to it....LOL
What would you guess at the time and miles we would cover
And how many of you are going
And what date
Ive done a few off roading days in wales when i had the V8 R/R which i gave to my son and if there are some places on the convoy i would ask my son in his R/R if he had time off depends witch day thanks all ..I live in Henley in Arden.

Hi Allen! Well I've still got the front skirt on mine, I'll be in my v8 d2 so except for engine same car as yours. I live just down the road from you and would be up for any weekend for green laning, give me a bell any time. I've spent a while searching for lanes and have found a few which are not too far from me.

Allen 666 - you are welcome to join us if you'd like, I would expect you'll be fine in a D2 TD5 with front skirt... but take no responsibility if we find a bit which isn't!

I'm starting to think i may do it in my D2 as it's a long drive down so would cost less on fuel!

There was one bit through some nice water, about 1ft 1/2 ish deep - so - nothing concerning, but, that would be the most extreme part and it can easily be by-passed!

Is everyone else still happy to come?

Yep im still good. Got the mrs and kids offloaded. Trying to get a passenger in to help with gates etc.

I have no winch or anything, but i can get some decent strops for pulling on ppl if need be.

Is the rendezvous still J15a southbound 9am?
