Grease !

Just un-jammed the rear tailgate doorlock on D2 using a squirt of WD40, thought I'd follow the advice on here and give it a clobbering with spray grease, but which one do I use - Silicone based, Dry PTFE based or Lithium ??? Never knew there was so much choice !

Do you reckon this would be okay in the ignition switch too ? I often have to wiggle the key in and out to get the tumblers to drop into place. I've been advised that if I use wd40 in the switch I'll knacker it completely ?

IMO when the ignition barrel wears out inside you better prepare one to be near by hand, it's not so expensive Ignition Switch / Steering Lock Discovery 2 98-04 Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models.
