Edit:

In response to one or two unfortunates for whom irony is something their wives do before putting their shirts away, these are strictly for show purposes and not for use on the highway.

I am perfectly aware of the legalities of the rare little fellas.

Not if you are in a hurry and folks is gettin all obstructive.

Plod will understand takeaways need to arrive piping hot?

No drama.

Get out of the way "cock end" coming through,

unless you a legal right to use those on the public highway then you are indeed a cock sir!

so you have blue leds on your mota and dont think the plod will mind you impersonating a police officer

gotta agree with discopol, you sir are indeed a cock

the police will seize your vehicle for impersonating police my mate bought an ex police t5 witch still had the blue lights on.. an thay took his car for 3 months  trust me take them off or you will regret it

Lot of fondness for cock on here.

You Boyz got the right site?

As for the LED's - strictly for off road, but also perfectly legal if used by appropriate person.

Vets for instance are OK as are blood transfusion service etc etc.

Having them fitted is very different from having them on. Thought this would separate the flock on here.

As per usual most of the knuckle draggers who have passed comment are entirely and predictably - Wrong.

I thought that doctors and vets had GREEN lights.
I could be wrong about that though.
If you get stopped by the plod and they spot them then i doubt it would matter to them if you use them on the road or off.I'd bet they would charge you anyway.
Why run the risk?

Guess I will just need a uniform from one of the below (wrong on the vets thing BTW) and a plausible story..... That or they are just for show... you know the one like at Peterboro' or Northampton.

Bit like the army ones that still have defunct semi automatics and gun racks - just for show.

Tricky concept for rather too many on here but I guess I expected that.

Only emergency vehicles can be fitted with a blue flashing light, or anything that looks like a blue flashing light, whether working or not.

so based entirely on your link, the only people allowed a blue flashing light, working or not are the emergency services.

Are you part of the emergency services crowmann?

When off they do not appear to be blue flashing lights, that rulee is there to stop folks simply festooning the roof with faux blue lamps and giving the appearance of the Feds or whatever.

All perfectly legal in my case.

Simples - well for some maybe?

you can interpret any way you see fit but if/when you are caught i dont think plod will understand.

a friend of my brother in law recently was forced to remove his blue interior lights after being told he would be charged if he didnt.

like I said before good luck

The blue light thing is getting quite strange, some lorries are lit up with enough blue lights to resemble xmas trees yet plod pick on someone with a blue interior light.

I am Ok on that score as I am red interior lights - LED's of course.

Better for nightvision and being an army Defender you would expect no less?

Maybe I am taking the LED strobe thing too far....... Pics show only freeze image (obviously) but this bad boy lights the street.

blue light thing is a minefield, think sometimes its more a case of how plod are feeling when they pull you than what the law states. The issue you may have is although they dont look blue if you are caught with them flashing or asked to put them on if pulled you could end up in deeper **** than a puffs prick.

truckers seem to get away with any lights they want. Have seen them lighting up the a roads and motorways but yet still no problems.

red lighting can look good inside but i dont have any, didnt bother after fitting the van roof and think it may just be easier to buy one of those jml led push lights rather than refit the wiring
