Hi ladies and gentleman, got a new fault and its not SMELLING too good. As many of you know my gearbox is buggerd i have to select 1st then set off then select drive and all is good (sprag clutch gone in autobox) i can live with that for now but last night id just rebuilt my sons mini moto engine/bike and decided to go out up pennine moors to a carpark to test it so the local plod couldnt and wouldnt take the machine away etc etc,
well i got there and popped the rangie into low range to climb over a small hump and i mean no bigger than a speed hump but i did it just as i hadnt used low range for a while anyway all was well and it shifted into low range no problem then back into high range and drove another 600 yard parked up left engine running so i could leave lights on to iluminate the carpark, after 15 mins i opend door and could smell burning real bad but NO SMOKE, i noticed that the green gearbox lights at the side of the auto stick (drive park rev etc) wernt lit up bright as normal so i popped it into low range but nothing happend and the orange low range lights didnt light up:wtf::wtf::wtf: and when in low range it was actually still in high range :wtf:, no faults on dash so went home, gear change seemed ok but slightly weird as tho it couldnt make its mind up as it changed gear also torque convertor lock didnt work, plugged into diagnostic and no faultsv found, can any 1 shed any light on this??? really confused many thanks.

There isnt enuf of the ecu left for me to do a repair, il try and get a pic on here but it completly burned the first 3 transistors out and took the whole corner of the PCB (printed circuit board) with it, lucky it didnt set fire to the seat really and my mystake it is the transfere box ecu thats gone not the gearbox ecu (not found that 1 yet) had to drive with it unplugged and its like driving a turd, no kick down no torque converter lock and very sluggish should be finally getting a replacement today Thanks to you all for the replys.;)
