Gear Oil

just started to work through my recently purchased disco, gear oil next was told that dexron III is in there, reading posts on here is this a problem do i need to get the stuff out flush the box and use MTF (thiink thats what i saw recommened) or is it ok to keep using it

any help ?

as its me first disco, first land rover of any desciption going to be asking lots of daft questions in the future :doh:

Manual Gearbox
Use Texaco MTF 94 oil for refill and topping-up. If
MTF 94 is not available, ATF Dexron IID or ATF
Dexron III may be used.
Automatic Gearbox
Use ATF Dexron IID or Dexron III oil for refill or
topping-up.

ok thanks, thought it was ok but wasn't sure now its in there will just use the same.

I got my MTF 94 from my local motor factor Carlube Motor Oil - MTF94 Manual Transmission Fluid they supplied this oil which is made in Bury Lancs at about £8 per litre.
