Hi Guys about 14 months back had my fuel pump replaced anyway couple of times I filled the tank had a slight scent of fuel but due to company car the RR hasnt been filled much for a long time. Anyway Its now going back to my daily driver so went and filled her up yesterday. Petrol BTW after a few fast corners today I parked up and the smell was back I looked below to see petrol dripping from drainage holes on tank cover.
Any obvious pipes that might not have been reconnected that may cause this issue with a full tank?
Any advice as ever much appreciated.
Best Regards

Chris

maby gasket not fitted correctly so when tank full seeping out around the in tank pump/sender unit, if only doing it when brimmed, otherwise could be seal on either feed or return pipe to sender unit.

On the top of the tank are two ports...one for the fuel pump and one for access to the other side of the tank where the other pick up is....

They are sealed with a large rubber seal...this can get damaged when the pump/cover is removed or reinstalled....the RAVE manuals state the seals should be replaced.....

They are easy to accidentaly pinch and damage or not seal correctly....

Roll the rears seats forward, take out the retaining bar and lift the carpets....there will be two access hatchs...remove these and underneath are the access ports to the tank....check for loose locking rings and also for signs of leaking seals.
