In the process of putting a new floor in the back of the disco. Got to remove the tank, Removed the blanking plate to get at the fuel pump on the tank. Fuel pipe to pump unions corroded solid. Advice needed please.

I had the same issue - just cut the fuel lines where they connect to both union bolts and bought a 2nd hand sender unit. Will be painting and waxing the replacement unions though..

I saw a thing on a website, where they replaced the floor using a industrial bonding agent, used to fit wings, supposed to be as strong as welding (if the manufacturers use it, must be good). Also read in difflock that someone rivited it into place. That would save alot of hassle.

Depends on what state the discos in and how much work you're putting in. I have some major rust issues so have gone for a full restoration approach - remove all bitumen/underseal, degrease, repaint and reseal. This I could not do with the tank in situ!!
